Restaurant Gösta’s Art Lunch is a unique combination of art and food. The artist responsible for the summer’s main exhibition at Serlachius Museums, Belgian Koen Vanmechelen has previously been a chef in a Michelin-star restaurant. Now he will create a lunch named after his exhibition in cooperation with restaurateur Henry Tikkanen.
Koen Vanmechelen is an exceptionally versatile artist crossing all traditional boundaries of art. By preparing the first course in front of the audience in interaction with the guests he will turn cooking into visible art. This lunch will realise the true spirit of the Food & Art Festival in its genuine sense.
Lucy Boar is Koen Vanmechelen’s artwork: a transportable food truck decorated with images of Lucy and containing a space and bedding for Lucy. In this way, the artist wants to make us aware of what we eat. Located in Gösta’s park, Lucy Boar serves chicken hot dogs and refreshing drinks during the event.
